For several years, Sense app (previously addressed as innuOS) has had a ‘Sonos Integration’ feature which effectively instructs your Innuos server to set itself up within the Sonos app as a Music Library destination automatically. The benefit of this was to save you manually configuring this process in the Sonos app itself which is what you would normally do when using a NAS or shared folder path.
The stability of this feature is also dependent on the Sonos platform, which changed in May 2024 as part of their app overhaul which included the removal of the Music Library function altogether. It was then later reintroduced in July 2024. Consequently, the Sonos integration feature within Sense does not function as intended.
Requirements
- One or more Sonos system devices/speakers connected on the network;
- Innuos server/streamer fully updated to the latest innuOS 2/ Sense 3.x release;
- All devices connected on the same network subnet (same IP address range);
To use your Innuos server as a Music Library source, you will need to go through the configuration process within the Sonos app as outlined on the Sonos support site: Use a NAS drive with Sonos
When entering the path of your Innuos server, you can user either its hostname, or its IP address (you can confirm the IP address of your Innuos device within the Sense app on the SYSTEM tab). For example:

Both the USERNAME and PASSWORD fields can be left empty/blank.
