This article describes the steps necessary in order to perform the experimental integration of the internal innuOS music player to play music through Roon.
This Experimental Mode may have occasional dropouts. It uses Roon’s own Squeezebox integration which supports audio only up to 24bit/192kHz PCM and DSD64 therefore it is limited by it and we cannot predict any future developments or further improvements.
To configure Experimental Mode, follow the steps below:
- At the innuOS dashboard go to SYSTEM > SETTINGS > SYSTEM MODE > STANDALONE > ROON > ROON with Experimental Squeezelite Player and click the APPLY button;
- Launch the Roon App;
- Go to Settings > Setup;
- Activate the switch for “Enable Squeezebox Support”;
- Go to Settings > Audio;
- Disable any players shown under “Connected to Core”;
- Enable the Squeezelite player under Squeezebox.
